COURSE OBJECTIVE

The course aims to train a professional who’s able to work completely autonomously, supported by such a technical knowledge to get to manage the most unexpected and strange needs of the stylist and the fashion designer, through the development of paper patterns to the tailoring.
Tayloring2The course is, above all, practical, and based on the development of models realized on paper first, then, if necessary, in canvas (trial fabric) and then in actual fabric. They start with the real size design of bustiers, clothes, necks and sleeves, to proceed , then, to the design and tailoring of skirts, shirts, pants and more and more elaborate jackets.
Then, the student learns how to understand and transform the basic models to get the right wearability, working on model paper first, and then cutting and assembling in canvas. After the test, the models get tailored and finished in fabric. At the end of the course, the student will be able to do all the steps needed for the excellent creation of a garment: take the customer’s measures, realize the paper pattern and eventually the canvas, tailor the garment, test and complete it.
