COURSE OBJECTIVE

The course aims to forge specialized Wedding Dress Model-makers. The educational path starts from the study of anatomy and silhouette, in order to examine, then, the techniques to build a model starting from the basics and then study the bustiers, pleat transfers, skirts and underskirts etc. Once several models have been developed, they start tailoring the prototypes on canvas, by studying the most appropriate fabrics and materials, that are generally pretty delicate and valuable, very relevant to complete the garment.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The course is aimed to those who have already got the basic modelist qualify, or who have achieved an education or work previous experience.
The admission to the Master depends on the level the student is starting from, evaluated with the teacher through an interview.
For those who are starting from scratch and don’t have any knowledge about modeling, it’s required the attendance to the Base Modelist course first (500 hours) in order to access, then, the Cad/Cam specialization Master of 50 hours.

EXAMS AND TESTS

At the end of the course, the student will have to take the final exam by presenting, to an external board, a fabric model created by him/her. Once the exam has been taken successfully, the student will get the Professional Qualify Diploma as Wedding Dress Model-Maker.
